Simon Returns to Great British Menu as Guest Judge
Simon was really happy to be back in the Great British Menu kitchen last week, appearing as a guest judge on BBC2 where he presided over the South West heat.
Tasked with evaluating a talented group of chefs from the South West, Simon was seriously impressed by the level of creativity on show and the dedication each cook brought to this series' brief: a celebration of the British film industry. With inspiration drawn from the silver screen, the competition proved a fitting stage for some truly imaginative cooking.
It was, by all accounts, a tough day at the judging table. The chefs gave everything they had, which made the inevitable elimination all the harder to call. As Simon put it, "they all cooked their hearts out."
