Tom Barnes Great British Menu Triumph

We are incredibly proud of Tom Barnes, Executive Chef of L’Enclume and Rogan & Co, for reaching the final of Great British Menu 2020. Tom’s main course dish of Herdwick lamb, inspired by the children’s book ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ was chosen as the winning main course, and served at the final banquet.

“I was incredibly happy and proud to be able to cook the main course at the banquet. My main dish was very special to me as it not only celebrated what Beatrix Potter did for children’s literature, but also her work towards Cumbrian agriculture, which is of course incredibly important to what we do at the restaurant. The whole Great British Menu experience was amazing. I made new friends and learnt so much from the other chefs. It was something I’ll never forget.” Tom Barnes
